Arka Innovate is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Analyst to support our Client’s Procurement Department. This role will involve managing daily clerical tasks, providing general office support, and executing procurement activities under the direction of senior staff. The ideal candidate will bring strong transactional procurement experience and the ability to handle end-to-end purchasing processes, from requisition to purchase order completion, efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Queue Management: Oversee and manage procurement workloads and backlogs, assist in expediting procurements for aged requisitions, and monitor overall procurement progress to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Requisition Verification: Verify requisitions for accuracy, validating scopes of work in collaboration with Project Managers and internal stakeholders.
- Bidding and Vendor Engagement: Solicit quotes, evaluate bids for compliance with company policies, conduct pricing analysis, and issue Purchase Orders to selected vendors.
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Support senior staff in managing the bidding process, contract creation, administration, and maintenance throughout the contract lifecycle.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with Project Managers, Legal, Risk Management, and Diversity & Civil Rights departments to secure high-quality contract terms and service levels.
- Administrative Support: Maintain filing systems, manage procurement-related correspondence, and assist in organizing meetings, conferences, and calls.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of full-time experience in transactional procurement, including bidding, sealed bidding processes, and contract writing and administration.
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to handle routine purchasing transactions with accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- Procurement Knowledge: Familiarity with the procure-to-pay process and an understanding of procurement policies, procedures, and associated risks in hardware and software procurement.
- ERP Systems: Knowledge of ERP Purchasing applications and procurement-related software is preferred.
- Government Procurement: Preferred understanding of government procurement requirements, such as sealed bids, advertising, and diversity spend targets.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Contract Management, or a related field.
- Software Knowledge: Experience with PeopleSoft or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
