Arka Innovate is seeking a EDI Functional Analyst.
Work Schedule: 100% Onsite (5 Days per Week)
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and system requirements for EDI integrations and business processes.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, trading partners, and technical development teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Analyze, map, validate, and troubleshoot EDI transaction sets using ANSI X12 standards.
- Lead onboarding activities for new trading partners, including requirements gathering, mapping validation, testing, and production implementation.
- Work closely with integration and development teams to define functional specifications, data mapping requirements, and interface designs.
- Monitor inbound and outbound EDI transactions, identify processing issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate timely resolutions.
- Support end-to-end testing activities including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and production validation.
- Ensure compliance with EDI standards, industry best practices, and organizational governance policies.
- Develop and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), process flows, mapping specifications, user stories, and user documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and optimize EDI workflows and business operations.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and requirement review sessions with business users and technical teams.
- Provide post-production support and assist with issue resolution during implementation and stabilization phases.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 10+ years of Business Analyst experience with significant expertise in EDI implementation and integration projects.Strong experience working with ANSI X12 EDI transaction sets such as 850, 810, 856, 855, 820, 846, and 997.
- Hands-on experience with EDI mapping and integration platforms (IBM Sterling, OpenText, Cleo, Boomi, MuleSoft, Seeburger, or similar).
- Strong understanding of EDI communication protocols including AS2, SFTP, FTP, FTPS, HTTPS, and VAN.
- Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process workflows, and functional specifications.
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting.Strong understanding of SDLC with experience working in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Experience coordinating with external trading partners and third-party vendors.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- xperience in Manufacturing, Retail, Supply Chain, Logistics, Healthcare, or Life Sciences industries.Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or JD Edwards.
- Knowledge of API integrations and hybrid integration environments is a plus.Experience with Azure Integration Services, MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or similar middleware platforms is desirable.
- Relevant certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile, or EDI-related certifications are a plus.
