We are seeking an experienced Integration Developer with a strong background in IBM ITX and Sterling Integrator Middleware tools. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, testing, and supporting complex integrations across multiple functional teams, leveraging modern integration patterns and technologies.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and lead data mapping exercises between various functional teams to enable seamless integration.
  • Analyze, capture, design, and document integration requirements aligned with business needs.
  • Build and test complex to small integrations using IBM ITX, Sterling Integrator, and associated tools.
  • Develop and update integrations involving but not limited to SOAP/REST APIs, Messaging Queues, Databases, data transformation, and synchronous/asynchronous messaging patterns.
  • Create test cases, test data, and participate in unit, system, and user testing, providing technical guidance and issue resolution.
  • Prepare integrations for operational readiness, create support handoff documents, and collaborate with support teams for deployments and post-deployment activities.
  • Analyze and resolve bugs throughout various stages of the software lifecycle.
  • Establish and follow best practices for software development and integration design.
  • Effectively communicate development progress, project status, and risks to team members and management.
  • Review and manage project schedules to ensure timely delivery and escalate issues as necessary.

Mandatory Skills & Technical Expertise:

  • Strong experience with IBM ITX and Sterling Integrator Middleware tools.
  • Proficiency in IBM product suite components including ITX Design Studio, Commerce Manager, Launcher, Resource Adaptors.
  • Expertise in integration design patterns, reference architectures, and best practices.
  • Strong experience in Web Services, SOAP, REST APIs, JSON, XML, and data transformation.
  • Experience with connectivity protocols such as HTTPS, FTPS, SFTP, Blob Storage.
  • Cloud architecture knowledge, including components and integration points.
  • Hands-on experience with security protocols, including OAuth2, digital signatures, certificates, TLS/SSL encryption.
  • Proficiency with Middleware Messaging Architectures (Pub/Sub models, synchronous/asynchronous messaging) and technologies like IBM MQ, JMS.
  • Solid experience with RDBMS concepts, Cloud Databases, and ability to write complex Database Queries, PL/SQL.
  • Linux Systems and Shell Scripting knowledge for automation and system interaction.
  • Functional knowledge of Freight Systems Interfaces and Data Dictionaries.

Desired Skills:

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies (SAFe preferred) and Agile tools.
  • Familiarity with testing tools like Postman, SOAP UI.
  • Experience with EDI standards (ANSI X12), JSON, XML, Flat File formats.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • IBM ITX-related certifications
  • Agile/Scrum certification (e.g., SAFe, CSM)
  • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure)
